CRUISE SHIP DUE TODAY
Last For This Season The arrival of the 10,480ton cruise ship, Aurelia, at Lyttelton at 7.15 a.m. today for an eight-hour visit brings the current season of southern cruises to an end. This is the first time that the Aurelia, which is carrying a full complement of more than 600 Australian tourists, has visited Neu Zealand. She was built it 1939. The Government Touris' Bureau has arranged tw< sight-seeing excursions foi passengers and will continue to operate the wharf offict to assist tourists who wist to make their own arrangements for looking round tht city.
About 400 passengers have booked on the tours, one of which lasting for five and a half hours, includes a tout of the Ashley and Waimaka riri gorges and a visit to points of interest in the city The other, lasting nearly four hours, will give the travellers a more detailed tour of Christchurch and its suburbs The Aurelia will leave Lyttelton at 3.30 p.m., and will make a brief trip to Akaroa on her way south to Milford Sound.
