Company News FERTILISER WORKS SOLD
K.P. Deal With Dom. Fert. (N.Z Press Association) DUNEDIN. Jan. 17. After full negotiations. Kempthorne Prosser and Company's New Zealand Drug Company, Ltd., has accepted the offer of Dominion Fertiliser Company, Ltd., to purchase the Burnside fertiliser works. This was announced in a joint statement today by the chairman of Dominion Fertiliser (Mr Carl V. Smith) the chairman of Kempthome Prossers (Mr W. L. Cunningham). Terms Kempthome Prossers will receive for their Burnside works 189.181 shares of £1 each credited as fully paid which represents a 34.4 per cent, shareholding in the Dominion Fertiliser Company, and will also have the right to elect three directors to a total board of nine. This arrangement is subject to the consent of tha Dominion Fertiliser Company's shareholders to increase their company's capital by £50,000 to £550.000, and to alter their articles.
