NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 7. The Hawera galloper, Stiteh, provided the highlight of the Stratfqrd Racing Club's meeting at Stratford on Saturday, when he won the first leg of t the TAB. double, the Malone f Memorial Handicap, easily, and was only just beaten by Sea- f farer in the second leg, the * Ngaere Handicap. Stitch was unlucky not to win * at his second appearance for the 1 day. for he carried the barrier 1 tape for the final six furlongs f of the Ngaere Handicap after ( Advance General had carried it > for the first part of the race. 1 The T.A.B. double.
