Howard Smith Ltd. Capital Move
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 4. Howard Smith, Ltd., increased ordinary capital on December 29 from £3 million to £3,401.250 by the allotment of 401,250 fully paid £1 ordinary shares. The increase in capital arises out of the allotment of 328,114 shares to the former shareholders of the Melbourne Steamship Company. Ltd., who, to date, have accepted How'ard Smith’s offer of shares, together wdth cash for their shareholding in that company. An allotment ot 73,136' shares has been made to shareholders of the Australian Sugar Company, Pty.. Ltd., as consideration for the transfer of their shareholding m that company to Howard Smith, Ltd.
