Street Fights In Oran
(N.Z _P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) ALGIERS. January 4 Security troops stood guard through the night in the curfewed city of Oran, biggest trouble spot in Algeria, after 38 persons were killed and 61 injured in a wave of violence through the country yesterday.
Police reported 19 dead. in. eluding eight Europeans, and eight injured in Oran, where young Europeans clashed with Moslems in the streets In Constantine. Eastern Algeria, three Moslems were killed and 27 wounded when an insurgent grenade exploded in a cinema exit. Six were killed in Algiers, and six in Bone. Eastern Algiers Four more persons, including a European, were later reoorted killed and nine others injured in various attacks in other areas of Algeria.
