2500 Arrests, Six Killed

Security forces swooping on Beirut suburbs and villages have arrested about 2500 people in a massive round-up following last Sunday’s abortive coup, it was reported in Beirut today.

Six members of the Nationalist Social Party—blamed for the coup attempt—were killed while trying tq, escape, an official statement said.
