STABBING IN AUCKLAND
Man Attacked In Domain
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 4. A man was admitted to Auckland Hospital tonight with a knife wound in the stomach. He wa® sitting with a woman on a seat in the Domain when he was assaulted. The attack took place shortly after 9.15 p.m. Two men approached the dbuple and the man was stabbed. The woman supported the wounded man until she met a passer-by, Mr W. B Oppert. of Ponsonby. Mr Oppert ran to a telephone and rang for help. Police squads with a dog searched the area for the attackers.
