Two engagement rings—one on her finger and one on her charm bracelet—is the fashion for future brides. Since Christmas and the New Year are the most popular times for announcing an engagement, these charm engagement rings sell by the thousand in London at this time of the year. At Easter the wedding ring charm takes over.

The engagement ring charm, which cost about £2 in Britain, is in gold set with a single synthetic white spinel—to represent the inimitable solitaire diamond ring that nearly three-quart-ers of all engaged couples choose. The wedding ring charm is in plain yellow gold and costs less than £1 The two charms can be bought to hang together from the same link if desired. Baby Charms

Some couples return at the birth of their first baby to choose again. Most pick the plain gold medallion, about the size of a sixpence and have it engraved with the baby's name and date of
