MOTOR-CAMP THEFT
£2300 Stolen At Tahimanui (N 2: Press Association) NELSON, Jan. 3. A daring thief last night snatched a suitcase containing about £2300 from a car outside the canteen at the Tahunanui motor camp. The money belonged to the canteen lessee, Mr N. W. Street. The money was left in a hatbox type of suitcase in Mr Street’s car shortly after 11 p.m. while he slipped inside the canteen. A few minutes later Mr Street stepped outside to see the figure of a man dashing off with the suitcase.
