POST OFFICE BURSARIES
16 Awarded For B.E. Study
fN.Z. Press Association l WELLINGTON. Dec. 20. The Director-General of the New Zealand Post Office, Mr D. Donaldson, announced today that 16 boys throughout New Zealand had been awarded bursaries for fulltime study for the bachelor of engineering degree. Some of the recipients have already completed their engineering intermediate at their local universities and are ready to undertake the three-year engineering course at either Auckland or Canterbury Universities. Others are coming straight from school, and will therefore hold the bursaries for four years. The following are the recipients of the bursaries from 1962: S. A. Baker. Hastings (Hastings Boys’ High School): M. R Bryant. Stoke (Canterbury University. Nelson College); J. E. Cater, Rotorua (Rotorua High School): R J Clark, St. Heiiers (Selwyn College); R A. Culver. Levin. J. L. Gilbert. Auckland (Seddon Memorial Technical College); P B. Graham. Wellington (Wellington College). B. O. Gray, Martinborough (Wairarapa College). A. I. Maclean, Swanson (Henderson High School); H J. Purchas. Tauranga (Napier Boys’ High School); J. Smit. Auckland (Auckland University); C. D. Snow, Rotorua (Rotorua High School); B J Stringfellow.
