FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—-Pressures are high over northern New Zealand and the South Tasman Sea. A weak low pressure trough is moving northwards over the South Island. Forecast:— West Coast, Canterbury and the Kaikoura coast.—Light to moderate winds from a southerly quarter. Cloudy at first, with some scattered light showers, but becoming fine. Temperatures moderate to mild. Outlook: Mainly fine. Nelson and Marlborough.—Light variable winds. Isolated showers in the ranges, otherwise fine. Temperatures moderate to mil<L Outlook: fine.
