DEACONESS TO LEAVE
Sister Doreen Bulford, deaconess on the staff of the Methodist Central Mission for the last five years, will leave on Friday for Te Awamutu. Sister Doreen was president of the Central Mission Ladies’ Guild and leader of the Young Women’s Bible Class, and assisted in the organisation of the Central Mission Darby and Joan Club and the Women’s Missionary Auxiliary. Apart from normal pastoral work, she has given time to social service work of the mission, and been a leader in district Methodist youth camps. Recently, she organised a teen-age club at the mission. Sister Doreen was bidden farewell on Sunday, and received several presentations.
