All buildings and tools left at the No. 2 Ministry of Works camp at Hinds were sold by public auction at Hinds on Saturday. About 300 persons attended the auction, which lasted three hours and much interest was taken in the new and second hand tools and equipment offered. Five cottages, each of five rooms, office and recreation blocks, carpenter’s and blacksmith’s shops, fetched from £BO to £l6O. Sheds, which ranged in size from six feet by eight feet and 30 by 30 feet, sold at about £35 for the smaller sizes. The buildings have been at the camp since 1937.

Thirty pairs of 6 x 30 new and second hand binoculars, sold from £8 to £l2.
