NEWLY-WEDS INJURED
Collision In Wellington fN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 17. Two of five persons badly injured in a car collision on Customhouse quay. Wellington, at 6.37 p.m. on Saturday had been married only a few hours earlier. The newly-married woman. Mrs J Grimsdale. is severely ill in .he Wellington Hospital, having been carried from the crash suffering from severe multiple head injuries internal bleeding and a possible fractured neck. Her husband, an Army lieutenant, suffered concussion, a fractured jaw. bruising to the right eye, and shock. They were passengers in one of the cars Another passenger. Mrs P Trainor, of Weir terrace, Waiouru. suffered possible concussion. a fractured left arm, laceration to the legs and face, and shock: and her husband, an Army captain, who was driving, suffered possible concussion, a fractured left arm, abrasions to his face, and shock. TTie driver of the other car. Mr J Parlis, a fitter and turner, of Adelaide road. Wellington, suffered lacerations to his face and shock. All of the injured were taken to the Wellington Hospital. where the condition of Mrs Grimsdale was tonight reported as serious, and the condition of the others as satisfactory.
