RUSK TALKS TO FRANCO
Meeting Was “Fruitful” (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) MADRID, December 16. The United States Secretary of State. Mr Dean Rusk, flew to Spain from Paris today tor a 96-minute meeting with General Franco to discuss “matters of deep and abiding interest." After he left for Washington. the Spanish Foreign Minister, Mr Fernando Maria Castiella, said that the meeting was “very fruitful.” the British United Press reported. They are reported to have discussed the Berlin situation, F ance, North Africa, Portugal and the PortugueseIndian dispute over Goa
