Demonstration In Malta
(N.ZJ’A.-Rfiutvr — Copyright) VALLE7TT.A, Nov. 25. Thousands of Maltese carrying placards inscribed “Socialists Go Home” paraded today outside the hotel where Socialist International delegates were staying in Malta, the British United Press reported. The delegates, including Dr. Ludwig Metzger, from West Germany, were in Malte to address a Labour Party rally celebrating its 41st anniversary. Dr. Metzger was involved in a shooting incident last night when a shot-gun blast hit the car he was travelling in. The Maltese driver was injured slightly in the hand. Two shots were fired and pellets passed through the windows and the bodywork of the ear. Since the arrival of the delegation last Monday, feeling had become very embittered in Malta and there had been a number of minor incidents and demonstrations.
