Demand For Resignation

Leaders of the Dominican Revolutionary Vanguard today demanded the immediate resignation 'of President Joaquin Bataguer, United Press International reported. They called on him to turn over the provisional Government to all the opposition, groups. Leaders of the V.R.D. returned on Tuesday from exile in Puerto Rico. The general secretary (Vhoracio Ornes), spokesman for the party, called for President Balaguer’s immediate resignation at a news conference. He said the V.R.D. had not yet held formal talks with other opposition groups, but was ready to co-operate with all the anti-Trujifio parties.
