Titian Discovery In Bratislava
(N .Z J? .A .-Reuter) PRAGUE. Laboratory analysis made at the Slovak Art Gallery in Bratislava has established, it is claimed, that a painting, “Ecce Homo,” found in a storeroom earlier this year, is the work of the sixteenth-
century Italian master, Titian. The Ceteka news agency said that the work was found in the gallery when pictures were being selected for the autumn exhibition. The last known owner of the picture was a Viennese art dealer called Miethke, whose tag was found on the back of the painting.
