Hockey N.Z. TEAM’S ITINERARY
Tour Of Far East Matches in India, Burma, Hong Kong and Singapore will be played by the New Zealand men’s hockey team on its Far East tour, which starts next month. The team will also participate in the international tournament at Ahmedabad, India, from January 6 to 21. The itinerary for the tour has been decided by the management committee of the New Zealand Hockey Association. Negotiations are stiH being made with the Punjab Farmers’ Sports Association and the Indian Hoekey Federation regarding the possibility of a tour after the international tournament which would help defray the team’s expenses. Matches confirmed are:— December 20, v Singapore: December 22, v. Madras; December 24. v. Vidhartha; December 27, v. Bombay: December 29, v. Poona; December 31. v. Belgaum; January 8 to 21, international tournament at Ahmedabod: January 31. v. Burma Hockey Federation: February 1. v. Hong Kong; February 2, v Hong Kong. The itinerary provides for the team to soend Christmas Day and Boxing Day resting in Bombay. 4
