Charged With Theft
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 26. John Anthony Gordon Shanks, aged 32, a carpenter, appeared in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court on Saturday charged in connexion with a £3OOO theft at Palmerston North several days ago. He was charged that on or about November 18 he broke and entered the shop of Collinson and Cunningham, Ltd., and committed theft. At the request of the police prosecutor, Mr A. O’Connor, Mr L. G. H. Sinclair, S.M., granted a remand to next Friday.
