NOVELTY DAY AT ENGLISH PARK
A novelty day was held at i English Park yesterday before . a large attendance. Organised by the Canterbury Marching Association and , opened by the Deputy-Mayor (Mr H. P. Smith), the programme included a march past, displays by individual teams, two dog-yarding demonstrations, and cycling events held by the Christchurch and Hornby Cycling Clubs. The Rangiora and Kaiapoi Brass Bands attended. Results of the cycle races were:— Two laps: D. Daly 1, L. Lock 2, G. Wallace 3. One mile: D. Daly 1, K. Neiman 2, J. Crofts 3. Sprint: K. Brown
