Japanese Favour Tweeds
British trade representatives in Japan have reported a significant fashion swing towards woollen tweeds as distinct from worsteds, according to the Wool Board’s Bradford correspondent. As these heavier fabrics use larger proportions of crossbred wool, this may contribute to Japanese hopes of buying a larger proportion of the New Zealand clip, says the correspondent.
