From December 1 it will be possible to apply for seat reservations on express trains, rail-cars and Road Service coaches by telephone. Telephoned applications will be accepted for reservations on all regular services, but tickets will still have to be purchased within a stipulated time to ensure that the bookings are held. Telephone applications will not be accepted for seats on special excursion trains. All travellers who apply for rail or Road Service reservations by telephone will be asked to confirm them by buying the tickets as early as possible. After a stipulated date unconfirmed bookings will be cancelled.' Telephone bookings made within three weeks of the travel date will be concelled. if not confirmed 46 hours before the departure time of the rail or road service concerned. As a general rule, telephone bookings made more than three weeks before the date or travel will be cancelled if still unconfirmed
two weeks before the departure date.
