Kaikorai Valley High’s Aims
“The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN, Nov. 26. Letters patent granting armorial bearings to Kaikorai Valley High School, Dunedin, have been received from the Lord Lyon King of Arms, Edinburgh. The aims are shown as a shield divided vertically down the centre (per pale), and V-shaped (per chevron reversed). Alternate portions are coloured red and green.
The reversed chevron alludes to the Kaikorai Valley, as well as being one half of a lozenge, the form in which armorial bearings are depicted in the case of women (the school is coeducational).
