AID TO LEPERS IN ETHIOPIA
Praise For Work Of N.Z. Couple The work being done by two New Zealanders, Mr and Mrs B. Bond, of Auckland, for leprosy sufferers in Southern Ethiopia, has been praised by Dr. N. Fraser, medical secretary of the world-wide Mission to Lepers. In a report just received by the Rev. Murray Feist, New Zealand secretary of the mission. Dr. Fraser speaks of the great difficulties that are being faced in Southern Ethiopia by the Sudan Interior Mission, with which Mr and Mrs Bond are serving. He describes the agricultural Work being done in this leprosarium by Mr Bond as excellent, and is making
recommendations to the London Council for grants which will improve the supply of water. Dr. Fraser describes the work of Dr. Margaret Fitzherbert as “wonderful,” and saiys the nurse's work is “beyond praise.” Dr. Fraser built up what is probably the finest leprosarium in the East, at Hay Ling Chau, off Hong Kong.
