Garrison Gold For Wyndham

“The Press'* Special Service

INVERCARGILL, Nov. 24. Adamae and Garrison Gold, two Southland candidates for the New Zealand Oaks at New Brighton next week, will be interesting runners in the Seaward Classic Stakes, the feature event at the Wyndham Trotting Club’s summer meeting tomorrow. Adamae, a member of D. Todd’s Mataura team, which brought out Blue Prince and Cardigan Bay. in recent seasons, is a three-year-old halfsister by Fallacy to Robin Dundee, which won the New Zealand Oaks 12 months ago and to Dundee, the leading three-year-old of his season in Southland. Garrison Gold is a particularly good type of Garrison Hanover filly, closely related to last season’s top juvenile. King Hal. She is trained by her part-owner, I. B. McPherson, at Gore. The Seaward Stakes has drawn an interesting field of Southland three-year-olds, few of which have had much racing. The TA B. double will be on the Mimihau and Hunter Handicaps. Highland Step may win the first leg with Congruent a likely choice for the second leg, which is unusually open. The weather has been fine and the track will be hard and fast.
