DANCING AT 73
Grandmother Wins Medals A 73-year-old grandmother of Nottingham was bored with life so took up dancing, says the Nottingham correspondent in the “Yorkshire Post.’’ Mrs Ann Wilson qualified for gold and silver medals within four months and was awarded a certificate for gaining them in record time. Mrs Wilson received her awards recently at a Nottingham presentation from the International Dancing Masters’ Association. Only one thing marred the occasion. Mrs Wilson had her wrist in plaster because she slipped and fell at her last dancing lesson. “I have seven grandchildren, but after my husband died I was so bored I took up dancing,” Mrs Wilson said. Her tutor said: “Mrs Wilson is wonderful. It goes to show that life can begin at 73.”
