Concern In Heathcote The Banks Peninsula Noxious Weeds Control Committee will be asked on what terms the Heathcote County Council may join the committee. Nassella tussock was apparently spreading in and around tihe county, and action was urgent, said the chairman (Mr R. A Young) at the council's meeting last evening. The council resolved to serve notice on a landowner in the county to eradicate a known infestation of nassella on four acres of his property Renaming.—Lower Rapaki road. Hillsborough, would be renamed Glenrowan road, the council decided. Stop Sign.—A compulsory “Stop” sign will be erected on Chapman’s road at its junction with Port Hills road, and “Give Way” signs in Horbtane Valley road and Port Hills road where the tunnel road access way crosses. Building Permits. —Sixteen permits were issued during October for buildings to the value of £25,847, the county engineer (Mr L L. Hall) reported.
