YACHTING TITLES AT WAIMAKARIRI
CHAMPIONSHIPS for six classes of yacht will be sailed at the Waimakariri regatta this week-end. The main events will be the Canterbury R Class championship, due to begin at noon today, and the Canterbury international Finn class championship which will bo sailed tomorrow. The regatta, to be conducted by the Waimakariri Sailing Club for the Canterbury Yachting Association at Kairaki. is expected to attract the biggest fleets of yachts to be seen on a Christchurch water so far this season. A number of recentlyconstructed boats will bo sailing with more familiar l contestants.
