Testing Herds For TB
(Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON. Nov. 16. Doubts about the wisdom of using trained technicians for tuberculosis testing were expressed by Mr L. F. Sloane (Government, Hobson) in the House of Representatives today.
He asked the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Hayman) to inform the House of the policy of the Agriculture Department concerning the use at trained technicians for tuberculosis testing. 'There appears to be some fear among the veterinary profession that the indiscriminate use of departmental technicians on this work might endanger the welfare of veterinarian clubs and the livelihood of veterinarians,” said Mr Sloane.
