Council May Do Prosecuting The Halswell County Council will consider prosecuting persons dumping rubbish Illegally, through its own lawyer instead of reporting to the police in future, a meeting of the council decided on Thursday. Mr G. Van Asch said that if the council prosecuted It would get any fine. The case would also get better publicity in the newspapers and the convicted persons would have the lawyer’s costs to pay which would serve as a greater deterrent The council win make inquiries about making its own. prosecutions.
