Obituary MR W. J. LANE
(N.Z. Press Association) LEVIN, Nov. 17. The death has occurred after a short illness, of a prominent businessman, Mr William James Lane, of Levin. He was 82. Mr Lane was chairman of directors of Lane’s Hosiery, Ltd., Levin, a firm which he assisted to establish in 1952. He founded the firm W. J. Lane Electrical Company in Christchurch, with branches in Invercargill and Blenheim. Later he was a prominent figure in the grocery trade in Wellington.
