BURIAL AT COLLEGE
Holy ( Founder (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 17. The burial of the late Bishop Michael Verdon, second Bishop of Dunedin, in the grounds of the Holy Cross College, Mosgiel, is authorised in the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Bill introduced in Parliament yesterday. The college is the national seminary of the Catholic Church in New Zealand for the theological training of priests. A new chapel is being built in memorial to the founder. Bishop Verdon. The bishops, priests, and seminarians of the Dominion wish his body to be exhumed from the Southern cemetery at Dunedin and reinterred in the new memorial chapel at the college. It is intended to do this next year.
