TROOPS’ AIRLIFT TO MALAYA
Flights According . To Schedule (N.Z. Press Associatton) AUCKLAND. Nov. 16 Excellent Artny-Air Force co-operation is largely rcsponsible for keeping the major airlift of soldiers between New Zealand and Malaya up to schedule, according to officers of both services. In spite of a ttiree-day delay at Darwin of one of the two aircraft carrying the troops, the operation is expected to be completed ahead of nchedflsle. One aircraft left Whenuapa 1 for Malaya today, one is due there on Saturday and there will be one arriving and one leaving on Sunday. “It’s really working kke clockwork.” said an Army officer today. “The whole opera Mon is going better than anticipated.” “We’re virtually just carriers. The Army sg really doing all the work,” said an Air Force officer. “We have been working in very well together.”
