SEIZURE OF CABLE
Interview With Luthuli (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter— Copyright) DURBAN, Nov. 14. South Africa has confiscated a London newspaperman’s interview with the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Mr Albert Luthuli. The interview was cabled to the “Daily Express” by . one of its roving correspondents, Daniel McGeachie, and he later received an official message that the cable had not been sent, and was now Post Office property. The Durban post master told Mr McGeachie that his cable had been stopped on orders from the Postmaster General in Pretoria. He did not give Mr McGeachie any reason for the action. Some South African Government officials have said i publicly that they disapprove of the award being given to Mr Luthuli. Mr Luthuli, who is confined to his home area i under a Government order, ■ has been given permission to go to Sweden to be prei sented with the Nobel peace prize, but under certain restrictions.
