AWARDS FOR SERVICE
Construction Squadron
Long service and good conduct medals will be received tomorrow by nine men of the Southern District Construction Squadron. Seven of the men will be awarded their medals at a parade to be held at the Riccarton end of Hagley Park. The two other medals will be presented later in the afternoon to the two men unable to attend the parade. Those who will receive the award at the parade from the squadron's commanding officer (Major E. W. Boyle) arc: Staff Sergeant J. I. Adams. Warrant Officer J. A. Collins, Staff Sergeant Torgie, Staff Sergeant H. N. Knott. Warrant Officer C. Petrie. Lieutenant and Quartermaster E. A. Rogers, and Sapper M. A. Sellars. Corporal J. Chalmers and Corporal A. E. Sheehy will he presented with their medals later in the day. According to the recruiting officer (Major F. A. the number of recipients is believed to be the bigges from Christchurch for many years.
