Murless. of Newmarke’. Breasley won the jockeys' championshin for the second time He won 171 races, to 164 by L Piggott and 144 for last year's winner. D Smith An investment of £ 1 on all of Breasley's mounts in the flat season which ended today would have yielded a profit of £5l. Piggott’s foliow’e’s. on the same basis, would have lost £67. Major Holliday headed the list of winning owners for the second time. He has a big private stable at Newmarket and his winnings by 25 horses in 37 winning races came to £39.312. The Queen had a much better season than last year, but she was not among the first dozen with £13.029 obtained in winning 11 races She bad. however, the distinction of owning the too slP e. Aureole, whose winnings amounted to £90.897. The top trainer was Murless He won 36 races with 31 horses to win £95.972. The runner-up was another Newmarket trainer, the former jockey. H. Wragg
with £91,645. gained by 38 wins with 2 4horses. The late Sir Victor Sassoon s Eve Slud headed the breeding establishments with £39.653 won. just beating the Irish Tally Ho Stud, which won £39.457. The top apprentice was the Yorkshire boy. B. Lee. with R. Elliott again the runner-'-
