Sailors’ Society Appeal
The annual street appeal of the British Sailors’ Society, held in Christchurch yesterday. raised £4lo—a slight increase over last year’s figure. Announcing this last evening the chairman of the appeal committee (Mr P. J. Byrne) said the society would like to thank all those who had helped in any way to make the appeal possible.
