Adios Butler Breaks Record

(N 2.P. A.-Reuter— Copyright) INGLEWOOD (California), October 29. The former New Zealand pacer. Caduceus, helped the American pacer, Adios Butler, to a new world record at the Hollywood Park track last evening. The New Zealand horse was second for most of the way behind Adios Butler in the second leg of the 80,000dollar American Pacing Classic. Caduceus fell back to third place as Adios Butler went on to win by three and a quarter lengths in the record time of 2min 3 3-ssec for the mile and one-sixteenth. The time was 3-ssec faster than the record set in 1959 by Sun belle.

Adios Butler was driven by P. West. He took command from the first turn and held it all the way although closely pursued by Caduceus. As Caduceus faded in the closing yards Dancer Hanover moved past into second place.
