120-Ton Gift
[Canada News Agency 1 TORONTO. Canadian newspaper publisher, Andrew Mac Lean, gave his wife a 126-ton steam locomotive for a birthday present. It was delivered, gift-wrapped and with a huge “Happy Birthday Dear” label on it, to their home. “We’re both interested in railway folk lore,” say* Mr Mac Lean. “and we will use the engine to start a railway musuem for the district.” He bought it from the Canadian National Railway*, which is scrapping all its steam engines in favour of diesel locomotives.
