The Canterbury Caledonian Society’s annual competitions were concluded in the Caledonian Hall last evening. Championship winners and runners-up were:— Senior: B. North, 345 points, 1; Eleanor Kirkwood, 343. 2. Intermediate: Heather Dawson, 321, 1; Anne Wilson, 314, 2. Junior: Rosemary Armstrong, 289, 1; Barbara Woodhead, 287, 2. Junior (under 12 years): Rosemary Armstrong, 289, 1; B. Ingram, 281, 2. Piping, march, strathspeys and reels championship: Trevor Young 1; J. Tulloch 2. Drumming championship: G. Manson 1 L.
