Fluoridation
Sir,—Your correspondent, Mr Dugdale, take* other correspondents to task but misses two most vital points. First, we do not require fluoride in water for bathing, watering the garden, flushing the toilet, or washing the car, etc. Second, but most important, does he ever stop to think who is going to make huge profits out of supplying aluminium dross, the waste they are unable to dispose of at the present time, to boost up 90 per cent, of our water supply that nobody ever drinks?—Yours, etc , J. T. GOSS. October 5, 1961. Sir,—J. Dugdale gives no factual evidence to support his own dictatorial views. He naively agree* with “opponents” by conceding that diet is the answer to dental caries in his citing the Maoris. The “carefully selected” statements by opponents’ oversees authorities include such distinguished expert* a* Sir Hugh Sinclidr, of Oxford University, Professor Salveson, University of Oslo, Norway, Sir Arthur Amies, Cil.G, Professor of Dental Medicine and Surgery, University of Melbourne, all challenging fluoridation.— Yours, etc.,
VIGILANT. * October 5, 1961. I
