Results of the Christchurch Ski Club's annual Championships, he-ld at Temple Basin, were:— Giant Slalom—M. Wynn-Wil-bams. 42.95ec. no points lost, 1; E. Coberger, 45sec, 4.2 points, 2: A. Coberger. 45.65ec. 5.4 points. 3. Slalom—A Coberger. 55sec. total for two runs, no points tost, 1; A. Gough. SB.Ssec. 3.75 points, 2: M Wynn-Williams. 58.7 sec. 3.98 points,* 3. Combined Championship.—M Wynn-Williams, 3.96 points. 1; A. Coberger. 5.4 points. 2; E. Coberger. 31.34 points. 3. Junior Combined Championship—B Sutherland, no points lost. 1: G. Long. 17.48 points. 2: S McCutcheon. 21.56 points. 3.
East Christchurch Pigeon Club
Thirteen owners liberated 114 birds in the East Christchurch Pigeon ’ Club's 275-mile race from Palmerston North. Conditions were fair and only six members timed in on the day of liberation. Results were:— M. Walls, 8:32:7; E Courtier. 8:48:39; D. Anthony. 8:53:20: L Starling. 8:54:6: Mann and Anderson. 9:13:45: R. Moore. 9:14:35/ Nominated bird: D Antbot}.
