Police Enter Homes CepVrigM) DARWIN, October «. The homes of the editor, Mr J. F. Bowditch, and a reporter, Mr J. W. Kelly, of the “Northern Territory News,'* the Darwin newspaper, have been searched twice by police in the last 24 hours. Three policemen searched both homes on special war. rants issued under the Immigration Act. They are searching for the Malayan deportees. Deris bin Saris and Zainal bin Hashim, who have been in hiding in Darwin tor more than a week. On their second visit to Mr Kelly's home, Mr Kelly’s nine-year-old son. Peter, was in the house alone. Mr Bowditch has three children under eight years and his wife is expecting another. Mr Bowditch has attacked the Federal Government’s policy in hard-hitting editorials. He said today: “I believe the Intrusions into my home are retaliatory for what I have written. The house has been searched thoroughly —even under the beds when the children were In bed.” Dozens of other homes in Darwin have been searched. Some occupied by persons known to have been active in the campaign have also been searched three times.
