ASHBURTON TRIALS
Big Entry For Tuesday Near-record nominations totalling 185 have been received for trials to be run at Ashburton on Tuesday by the Mid-Canterbury Owners’ and Breeders’ Association. ■Riere wiU be 15 races on the programme, including six heats of the qualifying race. The association received 71 nominations for the qualifying trial Officials think the number is a record. Thirty-five nominations have been received for the main free-for-all, including several New Zealand Cup candidates.
