Credit Squeeze And I.M.F.
(NX Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 6. Mr M. A. Connelly (Opposition, Riccarton) asked in the House of Representatives today if the intensified credit squeeze, on top of other deflationary steps the Govern meat was taking, was to demonstrate it was “putting its house in order 1.M.F.wise” as a preliminary to making an approach to the fund for a loan. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake): The answer is emphatically no.
