Monthly Meeting Of Council
The Banks Peninsula Hydatids Control Committee has told the Lyttelton Borough Council that the committee's inspector is too busy with routine hydatid control to check stray and unregistered dogs in the Lyttelton area as suggested by the council.
The council decided at its monthly meeting on Monday to request the services of the inspector when he was available.
Plunket Grant.—A grant of £lO was made to the Lyttel‘on branch of the Plunket Society.
Kindergarten Crossing.— The council decided to investigate a request from the Lyttelton Kindergarten Committee for a pedestrian crossing near the kindergarten. Centenary Dinner.—A dinner to celebrate the centenary of the council will be held next February.
Transport Alliance Conference.—Next year's annual conference of the New Zealand Road Transport Alliance will be held in Rotorua.— UP.A.)
