RESUSCITATION TECHNIQUE

To avoid risk of internal damage, external cardiac resuscitation should be carried out only by members of the medical profession or persons trained in this method, the standing committee on resuscitation said in a statement released today. The technique required far more force and practice than most people realised. In this method external pressure is applied by the operator’s hands on the patient's breast-bone to revive th* action of the heart.
