Large entries came forward in all sections at the Temuka stock ■ale, held in warm weather tocioae on 2609 fat eheee. law ■tore sheep. 96 fat cattle. 51 ■tore cattle, and 375 pigs made up the yarding. The fat sheep offering contained • tot of good-quality mutton, but the demand was not sufficient to absorb the large yarding.! and values for hoggets and ewes eased by 7s a head and fat wettiers by 5s a head, compared with recent vahiea. The store sheep sale showed little change on Mat week’s rates. The fat cattle sale was not up to last week’s rates, and although the yarding was of good quality, values eased by £2 to £4 a head. Once again, there was an excellent sale in the pig section, with values very much in favour of sellers. Range of Values Fat Sheep.—Wethers (shorn): Good. 65s to 70s; medium, 58s to S4s; light, 50s to 575. Ewes (shorn): good. 24s to 265: medium, 21s to 235; light, ISs to 20s. Ewes (woolly): Ms to 535. Maiden ewes (shorn): 60s io 87s. Prime hoggets (shorn): to 725. Store Sheep.—Ewe hoggets (woolly): 575; shorn, Ms to 535. Wether hoggets (shorn): 35s to 445. Ewes (shorn) and lambs, all counted: 22s to 245. Fat Cattle.—Steers, good. £47 to £54 12s fid; medium, £43 to £4B 17s fid; light. £36 12a fid to £43 17s fid. Heifers: good. £37 to £4O 12s fid; medium. £35 to £36 17s fid; light, £2B 2s fid to £34 17s fid. ’Caws: good, £2B to £3l 12s fid; medium. £24 to £27 17s fid; lyßit, £lB 2s fid to £23 17s fid. Store Cattle.—Rising two-year-old steers and heifers. £lB to £36. Dairy cows in profit, £26 to £33. Pigs.—Weaners: 75s to £5 9b. Stores: £6 5s to £6 17s fid. Porkers: £9 to £l2 15s.
