BEDS TO BE CLOSED
Hospital At Roxburgh (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. Oct. 3. The general beds in the Roxburgh Hospital, 84 miles from Dunedin, would have to be closed until the staffing position improved. Dr. J. Fulton, chairman of the Otago Hospital Board, announced today.
The board intends to keep the maternity beds open in the meantime, has recruited some local part-time trained staff and is hoping for an additional full-time trained nurse from outside the district soon.
